The Last Piece

I officially finished off the fence this morning, I added the last piece of top rail. I does made a difference. After this mornings little job we went to Fredericton to Home Depot to look a doors for upstairs, just something until I get the time to make the one's ReBecca wants. Hoping for a sale we found doors at regular price the was lower then we were looking for, so we bought four, the handles she wanted, hinges and a jig to help line up all the hardware. So I'll be busy this week cutting holes and putting on a finish coat of paint. I didn't mention they only had primer on them. Wish me luck.

The New Compound

The new compound is done, except for one small piece of top rail. I am only human and should have got 16 end rail assemblies, were I got 14, so we'll get them shortly and that will be it. A safe haven for the cats to run and fell protected and when we get there a place for a dog(s) to run.

And A Little More Chain

About 64 feet of chain link and another gate were installed yesterday, along with 7 more posts. One more main post to go in at the house, I had to wait to discuss it with ReBecca because it will go through the garden and I don't want to dig up something I shouldn't. I have the go ahead and it should be in today, after I cash in one of my saved up snow days that is. Not much to see or say about the latest pictures, they pretty much speak for themselves.

Green Is Good

Chain link fence is not the greatest looking fence but a green one does look good. I got the chain link up on the poles I put in yesterday about 75 feet and I got the poles in for the back side.

Summer Jobs

It's summer time and we are getting some work done outside. ReBecca has been busy getting seeds started for the garden, and with all the recent rain and warm weather, we have been busy cutting grass at two locations. Over the past few day's we have been getting fencing together, not every store has all the parts we need and it pays to shop around a bit. One store has gates that are $10 cheaper but their chain link fence is $50 more. Today I started getting some poles in the ground, and positioned one of three gates. Lots to do and with this heat, we'll be taking many breaks to rehydrate.

Some went in quickly, other needed a bit of dig'n.
This is just the start.

The chin link was a mess, this roll was pieced together.
It's easy to fix and use.
