It wasn't a bad week, while I was waiting for the wood to acclimatize to the heat again I did some wood turning for ReBecca. I make some laying tools and nostepindes, along with square knitting needles. You can see that work on my WP Wood working blog at
http://wpwoodworking.blogspot.ca/. I also had to repair the lathe, my live centre broke and I had to put in another bearings.
Now for the trim work. I cut the boards to rough length and then to width, which is 4 inches for the main part of the trim. I then cut the outer part of the trim work to width and then ran it through the router twice to round over the ends. Then back to the table saw for two more passes to cut out a rabbit to fit over the main trim. Today I sanded all the trim work. 100 pieces in total. I used a stationary belt/disk sander, which I fitted with a crude dust collection line. It work very well, keeping the pine dust down.
